Audit visit

Dive Safe Services Limited (DSS) were contracted to conduct a follow up audit on the previously implemented Diving Safety Management System (DSMS). The audit was to be conducted in line with DSS audit process.

Job overview

The contract was initially agreed to deliver the scope in March 2020. However due to the worldwide issues with COVID-19 it was only possible to deliver the contract in February 2022. The contract was to conduct some preliminary planning prior to visiting Panama and then a site visit with auditing and some mentoring of diving supervisors. DSS visited the office in Colon and conducted a number of onsite audits with a dedicated team. Diving management and teams were all reviewed during the duration of the project and a fluid schedule was agreed periodically to ensure maximum productivity.

Additionally, DSS were asked to review some of the supplied documentation in regard to a diving incident.

Time was afforded in the schedule and a separate meeting was held to discuss DSS findings which were offered without prejudice.

On completion DSS gave a close out briefing to cover the objectives for the audit and a list of general findings.
