Mentor Diving Supervisors

DSS were contracted to support a visit to follow up with recommendations made during previous visits to the company. The primary objective was to enhance the knowledge and skill base of the diving supervisors.

Job overview

Coupled with these visits a series of diving emergency drills were instigated and assessed. A revised schedule enabled twelve (12) site days, three (3) seminar days, three (3) administration days and two (2) meeting days.

Supporting the visit was a seminar with relevant topics to meet the requirement of the supervisor. These were;

• Supervisor roles & responsibilities.

• Diving emergency drills.

• Job Hazard Analysis process.

Three seminar days were allocated with each seminar taking a day to cover the three topic headings. During the visit the proposed superintendent documentation was reviewed and comment on along with the Management of Change process.

The company diving Planed Maintenance System was also reviewed for completion and effectiveness.
