Produce a Diving Operations Manual to support inland/inshore & ships

DSS were contracted to supply a full Diving Operations Manual to meet the chosen diving standard.

Job overview

Initial content gathering was carried out using open-source documents and also past experience on the content. Specific to the manual was to ensure that it covered the company’s scope of work and additional information to cover specialist projects. Consideration was also taken into account by way of the educational variance within the manual reader audience.

The first draft was issued and further consultation resulted in minor amendments with the first issue being ratified shortly after. Additional mentoring support by DSS was afforded to ensure compliance in the short to medium term.

Key tasks

• Understand requirements of the company and their specific operational scope.
  

• Review extant international diving practices to compile initial manual draft.
  

• Consult and review initial draft with selected Board members and agree and implement amendments/omissions.
  

• Produce 1st issue of company diving operations manual.
  

• Continue with consultancy post project closure on good will basis.
